Winterim
Overview
During the first few weeks of January, secondary students participate in enrichment classes during Winterim. The Winterim term runs from January 5th through January 23rd during normal school hours. The daily start and end times will not change during Winterim. However there will only be 4 periods per day. Students will choose up to 4 Winterim courses and attend those each day.
Winterim courses are designed to take students deeper into subject areas that they may be covered during the normal scope of the school year, and to explore areas that are not covered in our daily curriculum.
Registration and Scheduling
- October 29 – We distributed the Winterim Catalog and schedule to students
- November 3 – Registrations due
- Students will be given priority scheduling depending on their grades, attendance, and behavior at the end of term 1. Registrations that are submitted after the deadline are less likely to get their preferred classes.
Fee Payment and Permissions
- November 17 – Student schedules are updated in Skyward and fees are available to pay online or at the secondary office
- November 24 – All disclosures and permission forms are due
- December 1 – All fees are due. Any student who doesn’t pay the required fee will be dropped from the course and rescheduled.
Please see Mrs. Peery for information regarding fees or fee waivers.
