When we use kind and courteous words, we feel cared for, comforted, and loved. That is because there is something powerful that happens in each of our hearts when we say or hear kind things.
Parent Empowerment Meeting (What is your question?)- April 16
For our Virtual Parent Empowerment session in April, we want to know what YOU want to talk about! What is concerning you about your kids? What would you like to understand better? What can help you to be able to parent your child better? You get to ask the questions! We do need the questions ahead of time. Parent Survey Results
Thank you to all of your parents that completed the parent survey! We met our goal with 85% of secondary parents and 93% of elementary parents completing the survey! Everyone gets free dress and an ice cream treat on April 16th.

Super Saturday- May 16th
We are excited to announce that Salem will be participating in the district-wide Super Saturday in lieu of our annual fun run!
Super Saturday is blooming into the must-attend event of the season, and we need your energy to make it a success! Parent Advisory and Land Trust Committee
Every school must have a Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) comprising of school administration and parents, with parents being the majority of the committee. The PAC meets 4 times per year and participates in reviewing the Annual School Plan, in deciding how the Land Trust monies will be spent, and other matters important to our students at American Preparatory Academy.
Our annual Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) elections are coming up and we are looking for volunteers to serve for the 2026-2027 school year.
If you are interested, please contact the Land Trust staff at landtrust@apamail.org no later than Friday, April 16, 2026 at 4pm.

- The campus you are running for
- Your students’ name and grade
- Your phone number and email address
- A short (70 words or less) paragraph on why you are interested in being on the committee.
The ballot link will go home as the last page of the April 20th newsletter and elections will run through Wednesday, April 29th. The 2026-27 committee names will be posted in your campus’ April 27th newsletter.

Comité Asesor de Padres y de Fideicomiso de Tierras
Cada escuela debe contar con un Comité Asesor de Padres (CAP) integrado por la administración escolar y los padres, siendo estos últimos la mayoría del comité. El CAP se reúne cuatro veces al año y participa en la revisión del Plan Escolar Anual, en la decisión sobre cómo se invertirán los fondos del fideicomiso de tierras y en otros asuntos importantes para nuestros estudiantes en American Preparatory Academy.
Se acercan las elecciones anuales de nuestro Comité Asesor de Padres (PAC, por sus siglas en inglés) y estamos buscando voluntarios para el año escolar 2026-2027.
