Dear Salem Parents,
The 2024 partial solar eclipse will be happening tomorrow between 11:25 am and 1:40 pm. The sun will be 50% covered by the moon, which probably won’t be obvious unless students are looking at the sun through eclipse glasses. However, there is a risk that students without glasses will look at the sun and damage their eyes.
For this reason, all elementary students scheduled for recess during this time will have indoor recess tomorrow. If the sky is overcast, students will have recess outdoors as usual.
